Nassau, Bahamas … Putting Aids used by some of the top Golfers of the World  … Special report by Kiran Kanwar. What would be the bottom-line most important requirement of any golf swing, including its mini-version, the putt? To increase the margin for error, given the fact that the club cannot help but swing in an arc, especially with the longer putts, simply because the two arms are locked on the club’s handle and are at either end of a centrally rotating spine.  A look at all the ...

Nassau, Bahamas …. Introducing THE COSINE FACTOR – a simple yet never-before-considered Concept in Golf … Special report by Kiran Kanwar. Stand on a driving range inhabited by professional golfers – anywhere in the world, any tour, and what do they all do? Move their arms (and therefore club) WAY inside the target line immediately past impact. This constitutes one of the many “what sense does that make” questions one should, but does not, ask in golf. Nassau, Bahamas We have become used to seeing Tiger Woods miss the opening fairway in competition but managing to find just six fairways in regulation was very much the story of Tiger Woods first competitive round in 15 months. Woods double bogeyed two of his closing three holes in a disappointing one over par 73 in hot and humid conditions on the Albany course. Nassau, Bahamas Tiger Woods ended his much-anticipated return to competitive golf admitting too many silly mistakes including post two double bogeys in his closing three holes on route to a 73 on day one of the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. It left him trailing nine shots behind fellow American J. B Holmes who snatched an eagle and seven birdies in an eight under par 64. Woods had been sharing the lead with four birdies in opening eight holed but ended the round in the £STG 2.8m event trailing ...

Nassau, Bahamas Tiger Woods was Russell Knox’s boyhood hero but on the eve of the Hero Challenge Knox had yet to formally meet this week’s tournament host. Knox will tee-up in the limited 18-player £STG 2.8m event where all attention will focus on Woods who is ending a 465-day competitive absence on the ultra-exclusive Ernie Els design course at coastal Albany. Knox arrived on Monday morning local time after a 22-hour flight from Melbourne, Australia on the private jet owned by Australia’s ...

Nassau, Bahamas Local resident Justin Rose reckons Tiger Woods could not have picked a better location and venue to end a 465-day competition absence at this week’s Hero Challenge in the Bahamas. Woods, as host of the event, managed to twist the arm of organisers of the £STG 2.8m event and tee-up in the elite 18-player field and in what will be his first event since sharing 10th place at the 2015 Wyndham Championship. And given the way Woods has hit the ball in practice and also during yesterday’s ...
