Valero Texas Open Deserves Better.
The Valero Texas Open deserves better.
A $6.2m tournament carrying a first prize of $1.116m boasts just three players – Matt Kuchar, K J Choi and Freddie Jacobsson – ranked among the world’s top-50.
While the thought of getting your hands on a $1m plus first prize cheque, and a two-year Tour exemption, would delight the rank-and-file on the PGA Tour it’s done little to stir the imagination of the world’s best golfers.
The tournament has been running since 1970 and boasts a who’s who ...

Harrington & Els Horror Show At Hilton Head.
Between them they’ve captured six Major Championships but it was pure agony watching Padraig Harrington and Ernie Els competing side-by-side on the second day of the RBC Heritage Classic at Hilton Head in South Carolina.
The alligators sunning themselves on a number of the banks about the Harbour Town course generated more interest than the collective efforts of Harrington and Els.
Harrington looked back to his triple Major Championship winning best in finishing eighth five days earlier ...

Of course, Watson was joking but given how he took New York by storm the Augusta National winning hero is sure to poll plenty of votes.
Watson was waiting to be a guest on CBS’s ‘This Morning’ when he met Virginia Governor, Robert McDonnell, who PGA Tour.com believe is rumoured to be seeking the Republican Vice-President nomination.
And after shaking hands with McDonnell Watson jokingly tells ...
