Super Spaniard Eugenio Chacarra was never going to be denied, and despite still battling a broken bone in his toe, calmly cruised to success in the DP World India Championship in New Delhi.
Chacarra wrapped Sunday morning’s weather-affected third round in posting a ‘try and catch me if you can’ stunning nine-under par 63 that including a closing hole eagle ‘3’ to move five shots clear of his rivals at 19-under heading straight into the fourth and final round.
And Chararra kept up the pressure birdieing two of his opening fourth round holes on route to a closing 70 and win by two shots at 21-under.

The 26-year old now enjoys four DP World Tour wins since a break through triumph in March last year, and that really could be five having missing out by a shot last week in his own Open deEspania.
New Zealand’s Dan Hillier birdied two of his closing three holes in a score of 67 to grab second place on 19-under while Poland’s and recent Dunhill Links champ Adrian Meronk (68) shared third place with Spain’s Angel Hidalgo (69) at 15-under.
American Patrick Reed, who has led the Race to Dubai money list since earlier this year, posted a bogey-free 69 to share 23rd place at eight-under.
Big disappointment was the effort of six-time major winning Rory McIlroy sharing a distant 42nd place at four-under with the effort being his poorest finish in his 19 World Ranking counting events in 2026.
