For David Law All Remaining DP World Tour Roads Lead To Maiden Tour Championship Dubai

David Law is on the road for his next four events looking to make it an elite fifth in contesting a maiden season-ending DP World Tour Championship.

The Aberdonian is among seven Scots contesting this week’s Acciona Spanish Open in Madrid.

World No. 6 and double Spanish Open champ Jon Rahm heads the field and looking match boyhood hero Seve Ballesteros as a triple Spanish winner.

All remaining 2022 DP World Tour roads for David Law lead to the season-ending DP World Tour Championship

Law is contesting this week’s event in the Spanish capital before heading to the Costa del Sol for next week’s Andalucia and after a week off it will be onto The Algarve for the Portugal Masters.  There will be a week off before Law crosses the Equator to tee-up in South Africa in the co-sanctioned Nedbank Challenge.

If all goes well the 32-year-old Scot will be hoping a week later to be adding the season-ending DP World Tour Championship at the Jumeirah Estates in Dubai.

Law is currently ranked 45th on the Race to Dubai money list and now in his now fourth full season on the Tour he’s yet to enjoy the luxury of competing early November in Dubai,

And boosting Law’s confidence was making last week’s third day cut at the Dunhill Links, and ‘cut ‘ Number 17 from his 23 events this season.

He said: “Making the cut in the Dunhill last week was one of the more difficult cuts I’ve made this year.  I had not played all four rounds before in the event, so it was a reward given the conditions we played in on Friday.

“I’m happy where my game is at the moment.  I found something in my putting last week and I’m feeling I’m in a positive place at the moment.

“The big goal is to remain in the top-60 and get myself to Dubai, and hopefully along the way pick-up another victory.”

It’s been well over three years since Law pulled off the shot of his pro career in brilliantly eagling the last early in 2019 to capture the co-sanctioned Vic Open in Australia.

And now with a young family, Law would dearly love to join his fellow compatriots Ewent Ferguson, Richie Ramsay and Stephen Gallacher who tee-up this week in Madrid as multiple Tour winners.

Law said: “My card is secure for next year and while I am focussing on qualifying for the DP World, I’d naturally love to pick-up another win.

“The boys have had four wins this season, so Scotland’s mens pro golf is doing really well, so it’s nice we are all feeding off each other, and let’s just hope it keeps going that way”,
