Tournament Host Lee Westwood Leads British Masters Field Also As Top World-Ranked

Lee Westwood is not only hosting next week’s Betfred British Masters but at No. 34 in the world, the Englishman is highest ranked played to tee-up on the Close House course outside of Newcastle.

Westwood is the only player inside the top-50 on the rankings but then there is fellow Englishman Eddie Pepperell at No. 77 in the world will joining his compatriot.

Pepperell, 29 was brilliant winner of the 2018 British Masters at Walton Heath.

Also inside the top-100 on the rankings is Jorge Campillo (93rd), and with the Spaniard returning to competition for a first occasion since March 8th in capturing the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.

World No. 98 Marcus Kinhult of Sweden makes-up those inside the top-100.
