Aussies Continue Dominating Golf – 7 Wins, In 7 Weeks, On 4 Tour’s & On 3 Continents.

Aussies continue dominating men’s golf!

It began on December 22nd with Adam Scott capturing a second Australian PGA Championship in the co-sanctioned Australian and European Tour event on the Gold Coast.

Scott’s good friend Wade Ormsby then in second week of January captured a second Hong Kong Open title while much later that same day, Cameron Smith tasted individul PGA Tour success for a maiden occasion in winning the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Then on Australia Day, January 26th there was a double ‘down under’ victory toast with Victorian Lucas Herbert winning a maiden European Tour title with his play-off success at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

That same day, and on the Californian West Coast fellow Victorian-born Marc Leishman lifted the Farmers Insurance Open trophy.

A week ago, Perth’s Ming-woo Lee and the yonger brother to former World No. 1 and LPGA star, Minjee Lee, captured his first professional title with success at the European Tour and Australian Tour ISPS Handa Vic Open.

Now Scott has made it seven wins in just seven weeks in winning by two shots at the famed Riviera Country Club and the home course to many of the former stars in the goldern era of Hollywood.

Victory meant that Scott has won back-to-back for a second time in his career after initial back-to-back successes early in 2016.

Scott now joins fellow Masters champions Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Billy Casper, Fred Couples and Bubba Watson as having won at Riviera more than once.

And in capturing a 14th PGA Tour title and the 31st of his pro career Scot will move back to World No. 6 and a highest ranking since late 2016.
