Lorenzo-Vera Dreaming Of Driving Off With DP World Title In A Ferrari F12

… Dubai, UAEĀ

Frenchman Mike Lorenzo-Vera is already dreaming of a ‘prize’ for himself in taking a three-shot lead into the final two rounds of the DP World Tour Championship here in Dubai.

Lorenzo-Vera had set the course alight on day one in posting a blistering nine-under par 63 and added a day two 69 for a 12-under par tally.

The 34-year old Bayonne golfer is yet to win on the European Tour and would have ended five shots clear had it not been for bogeys on 15 and then three-putting the last from 30-feet for his 12-under par total.

A Ferrari F12 TDF costing around Euro 500,000.

If successful, Lorenzo-Vera would pocket a cool $3m first prize cheque and revealing he’s already been on the internet surfing for a dream gift to himself.

“Last night I was trying to get that amount of money out of my head but it did not want to so I accepted it and then went on to the internet to see what car I’d buy if I won,” he said smiling.

“And it would be a Ferrari F12 TDF.

WSo I just try to accept the situation, and there will be pressure. There will be plenty of cash to win if I win. If I can take it, that would be awesome.”

The cost of the V-12, 769bhp Italian motor stallion is a few Euro short of Euro 500,000.
