American Kurt Kitayama has joined countryman Dustin Johnson making it two wins on this year’s Race to Dubai schedule posting a closing 70 for a one-shot seven-under par Oman Open victory total.
The 26-year old birdied to his closing three holes to break a deadlock that saw six sharing the lead, including Jamieson, at one stage of the last round.
The Las Vegas golfer started his third round in horror manner posting a first hole quadruple bogey ‘8’ and then a pair of bogeys and then came back early on Sunday to shoot a one-under par 71.
The reigning Mauritius Open champ went into the last round trailing by two birdie both the 16th and 17th holes to deny Spaniard Jorge Campillo, German Maximilian Kieffer, Frenchman Clément Sordet and Paraguay’s Fabrizio Zanotti.
