Woods Looks Set To Tee-Up At 2018 Farmers Insurance Open

Nassau, Bahamas ….

Tiger Woods seems almost certain to return to full Tour competition in six week’s at Torrey Pines near San Diego in California.

Woods delivered a strongest statement in well over two years he is fit to resume his place on golf’s biggest stage in sharing ninth place at the Hero World Challenge.

Woods regrouped brilliantly from the hiccup of a third round 75 to snatch an eagle and six birdies in his closing 68.

Walking with Woods was good friend and Tennis World No. 1 Rafael Nadal who was clearly impressed, and with the Spaniard having fought back from the adversity of a nagging leg injury to win two Grand Slam titles in 2017 and take his tally to 16.

Tiger Woods teeing up earlier this year in the 2017 Farmers Insurance Open.

“Tiger is unbelievable.  I just love to see him play whether it is here or on TV,” said Nadal.

“If Tiger’s healthy then I believe that has everything to where he deserves to be.”

Woods will continue working on his game over the Christmas/New Year festive period and then make his to the U.S. West Coast for the January 25th commencing Farmers Insurance Open.

It was also the venue of his last Major Championship triumph in capturing the 2008 U.S. Open and where earlier this year he returned  but missed the cut ahead of withdrawing a week later in Dubai.

It will mean not returning to Dubai to complete the event where he could only manage one round given the Farmers Insurance sponsoned is the same week as Dubai.
