Tiger Woods Upstaged By His Caddy At Wyndham Championship.

Tiger Woods found himself upstaged by his caddy Joe LaCava during today’s Wyndham Championship here in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Woods is contesting the event for a first time in his career which may sounds surprising but then three years ago he teed-up in the 2012 Honda Classic for a first occasion.

Woods got his first look at the course on Wednesday afternoon when he played a front nine practice round with 2016 Ryder Cup Captain, Davis Love 111.

However Woods played a full 18 holes today in the company of three pro-am partners, and one being NBA L.A. Clippers star, Chris Paul.

The two were getting on famously throughout the 18 holes and with Paul teasing Woods on many occasions he was going to ‘take his money’.

Then after Woods split the fairway at 17 Wood asked if he could borrow the same club, and when he also found the fairway the Clippers star remarked laughing;  “How much do you want for the club, man? C’mon sell it to me, man.  How much do you want for it?”

Paul afterwards commented:  “Unbelievable man.  It’s such an honour and privledge.  I’ve had the opportunity to hit a few golf balls with Tiger out in his Tiger Jam in Vegas but to play 18 holes, he doesn’t realise he’s the reason I even play golf.”

However there was a colourful incident on the previous hole when Woods handed his 8-iron to his caddy Joe LaCava.

And the 7-handicapper caddy showed off his skills in easily finding the green at the downhill and across water par three challenge.

Woods had played the role of caddy providing Joe a yardage and then after Joe hit the shot, the 1-time Major winning Woods continued the role of caddy cleaning and wiping the iron before returning it to his own bag.

Joe then slipped back on his caddy bib and the pair resumed normal player/caddy duties.

Woods was in an engaging mood all throughout the 18 holes signing autogaphs and having his photograph taken.

And speaking of photos five attractive young women managed to get a photo with Woods on the 18th tee but with Woods smiling after the photo in saying;  “The pictures won’t go anywhere, will they?”
