Shane Lowry Honours Death Of Irish Students Wearing Black Throughout U.S. Open.

Shane Lowry continues to honour the death of five Irish-born students who died earlier last week when a balcony collapsed in Berkeley, California.

The Emerald Isle was in mourning when six students, including one that was American-born, attending a 21st birthday perished after a fourth floor balcony gave way and crashed to the ground.

For three days of the U.S. Open Lowry has, and in a superb mark of respect, worn all-Black attire with the exception being his white golf shoes.

And it’s not the first time Lowry has worn all-black as he did so last year after the death of popular Zimbabwean-born caddy Ian McGregor, who collapsed and died during the final round of the Madeira Islands Open.
