Morrison Leaves BMW Int’ Open Marshall With Bruised Arm & Breast.

England’s in-form James Morrison left an elderly woman marshal nursing a bruised upper arm and breast following an errant shot down the last on day three of the BMW International Open in Munich.

Morrison, who was leading by three shots and called ‘fore’ when his second shot cleared a corporate enclosure but striking the woman who was marshaling near the entrance to the scorer’s hut.

The reigning Spanish Open winner’s ball cannoned off the women and landed in deep rough from where Morrison made a mess of this third before chipping and two-putting for a bogey ‘6’ and seeing his lead cut by two shots to 16-under par.

“It always gives any golfer a lump in your throat when you hit someone and not knowing how bad the injury is to you get to where you ball is,” said Morrison.

“From where I played my second shot I, of course, couldn’t see anybody but then it’s not nice to hit anybody and particularly someone of her age.

“I note she has been attended to by medical staff and she seemed a little bit in shock more than the pain in her arm and body.

“But then I think the fact I went up and spoke to her to apologise she seemed a lot more happier.”

Fellow Brit Chris Paisely, seeking a maiden Tour victory, posted a 66 to be in second place on 14-under par.
