World No.1 Rory McIlroy has quickly ruled out any uncertainty by confirming to www.golfbytourmiss.com he will contest next week’s Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow at Charlotte, North Carolina.

There has been much uncertainty if the four-time Major winner will return to the scene of his maiden PGA Tour win given his victory last week at the WGC – Cadillac Match-Play Championship.

As well, if McIlroy did commit to the Wells Fargo it would mean five events in succession given he is also defending next fortnight’s European Tour flagship event, the BMW PGA Championship.

Then a week later McIlroy is hosting the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Royal County Down.

However when asked what his plans were next week McIlroy confirmed:  “I am playing in Charlotte’.
