Four-time Masters winner Tiger Woods was reeled over in pain after hitting a tree root in playing his second shot at the ninth hole on the final day of the Masters.

Woods was clearly in agony and with first fears he could be forced out of the 79th Masters and in his first event in a two-month lay-off from the game.

Qn: Are you okay now?

TIGER WOODS: It’s sore. I’m not going to be lifting any weights for a little bit.

Qn: How do you characterize the four days?

TIGER WOODS: It was mostly positives. Considering that I, the state of my game the where it was at Torrey and Phoenix, caught between two different release patterns and then to come back and have, you know, it was maybe only a shot or two over 72 holes I reverted back to that old swing pattern, the release pattern as well.

So, I did some really good work to make my __ you saw the state of my short game at the time, because again I was caught in between two different patterns. But now my short game’s my strength again, which is good stuff.
