Royal & Awesome Teams With Sparks For ‘Longest Golf Day Challenge’ At Fulwell GC.

Scotland’s funkiest clothing brand, Royal & Awesome, has teamed up with Sparks for the second successive year to add a dash of colour to the charity’s awesome golf challenges.

Last year’s events saw a number of dazzlingly dressed golfers raise more than £20,000 for the children’s medical research charity and the buzz has carried over into 2015.

For its Longest Golf Day Challenge at Fulwell GC in Twickenham – on Monday, June 22 – Sparks invites 60 golfers to complete 72 holes, from dusk to dawn, and each team will don the splendid colours of Royal & Awesome.

But it’s not just at Fulwell where golfers can raise valuable funds … or look awesome.

Royal and Awesome logoThe Sparks Awesome Endurance Challenge – a separate initiative – involves golfers playing as many holes in a day as possible and may be completed at a date and venue of the participants’ choice, with sponsor Royal & Awesome providing each team that raises at least £400 a spectacular pair of trousers for each team member.

Since 1991, Sparks – the country’s leading medical research charity – has raised more than £27m through initiatives to fund vital research and this continued partnership will see Royal & Awesome support the charity’s golf and events throughout 2015, aiming to raise valuable funds for life-saving medical research.

Daniel Smith, head of golf events at Sparks, said: said: “We are delighted to once again launch our challenges in partnership with Royal & Awesome and its eye-catching range of clothing. The fundraisers’ valiant efforts alone are sure to turn heads, but even more so thanks to being kitted out in awesome attire.”

Royal & Awesome brand director Graeme Smeaton added: “Royal & Awesome is always looking to reward and support golfers for their fundraising efforts and we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Sparks. Our bright colours add fun to golf fundraising events and our sustained relationship with Sparks is testament to this.”

Royal & Awesome has been manufacturing its eye-catching apparel since 2012 and, in that time, has established itself as Britain’s brightest, funkiest, loudest brand.

Its market-leading ‘Awesomes’ – the range of iconic trousers – were inspired by the heritage and history of the sport in the birthplace of golf and were designed to add a touch of fun and colour on the fairways.

The range also includes shirts, shorts, hats and plus-twos, as well as women’s trousers, shorts and skorts, all in dazzling designs, and all ‘perfect for the pars and the bars’.

This year, the iconic range is enhanced by two new, patriotic designs: Trew Brit and Pars & Stripes. The colours of red, white and blue allow British golfers and their colonial cousins to display national pride up and down the fairways.

Royal & Awesome is also one of the most active golf brands on social media with more than 170,000 Facebook fans and closing in on 2,000 Twitter followers.
