American Patrick Reed will contest this year’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and the following week’s Irish Open at Royal County Down.
Reed confirmed his European Tour appearances after posting a final round 70 for a two under par tally here at Augusta National.

“I’m playing next week at Hilton Head and then taking a week off before the Match-Play, the Players then two overseas,” Reed said following a final round 70 for two under par total at Augusta.
“Overseas I’m playing the BMW PGA, and then the Irish Open.
“I haven’t played either event before so looking forward very much to them.
“I know the BMW is Europe’s top event and I’ve heard so much about Royal County Down, and looking at the two fields already it’s looking like being two great weeks on the European Tour.”
Reed now joins fellow American Rickie Fowler at Co. Down and with rumours strong big-hitting Dustin Johnson will be among them.
