There was the bizarre incident during today’s rain-delayed third round of the WGC – Bridgestone Invitational when large on-course TV screens crossed to Nick Faldo and catching the Brit staring into a mirror ahead of returning to live CBS coverage of the $US 9m event.
Woods was on the 16th green when distracted by images of Faldo sitting beside fellow analyst Jim Nantz and using his fingers to comb his hair while also straightening out his neck tie.
“It took me three minutes to get settled again after seeing that,” said the smiling 14-time Major winning American.
