Double Major winning Rory McIlroy will be back out on Royal Liverpool today playing a second practice round ahead of next week’s Open Championship.

McIlroy has never competed at Royal Liverpool and was still an amateur in 2006 when golf’s oldest Major was last contested on the course in 2006.

However he was out on the course yesterday and tweeted this picture of the 18th hole where he will be expecting to lift the Claret Jug for first time on July 20th.

McIlroy will then travel to Aberdeen where he will compete in this week’s Scottish Open at Royal Aberdeen.
