Edoardo Molinari, Willett & Baldwin Secure Open C’ship Tee Times From Irish Open.

Italy’s Edoardo Molinari is headed to next month’s Open Championship after securing one of the three spots on offer into golf’s oldest Major this week at the Irish Open.

Molinari posted a final round 67 for a 12-under par tally and good enough to be assured of competing in his fifth Open Championship since making his debut as an amateur in 2005.

Joining the younger brother of Francesco Molinari will be England’s Danny Willett who contested last year’s Open Championship and finishing T15th at Muirfield.

Willett, who set a new Fota Island course record of 63 on day three of the Irish Open, carded a last day TBC to finish at TBC.

And joining Willett will be fellow Englishman Matthew Baldwin who posted a final day 69 for an 11-under par tally and denying Sweden’s Krisoffer Broberg (69) who also finished on 11-under par but given Baldwin is higher up on the World Rankings in 256th place he claimed the Royal Liverpool tee time given Broberg is ranked 378th on the rankings.
