If there’s one creature on the planet that I would rather not come face to face with and that is a Saltwater Crocodile.
However since being here in Cape Town, and spending a few days before heading to Durban, I’ve noticed crocodile appears on the menu of a number of local restaurants.
I stopped by one restaurant close to the shoreline in suburban Sea Point and here on the menu was a number of African theme items including Springbok Pie, Ostrich Kebabs, Warthog Ribs, Kudu (Antelope) Steak and Roasted Quail.
So I chose Crocodile Ribs.
They’re not like your Beef Spare ribs and the ribs themselves are more like cartilage but were a little tangy yet tasty, as was a tall glass of Castle.
I will never look at a crocodile in the same manner again.
