Padraig Harrington Headed For Worst-Ever PGA C’Ship Round ?

Triple Major winning Padraig Harrington is already struggling to make Friday’s second round cut after slumping to five over par after just nine holes in today’s commencing 95th PGA Championship.

Harrington, who won the 2008 PGA Championship, posted one biride over his outward nine but also four bogeys and a horror sixth hole double bogey where on the 15th hole of the Oak Hill course the Irishman found the rough off the par three tee and then failed to find the green with his next two shots.

His worst-ever PGA Championship round is 78 on the final day in 2004 and also in the last round in 2009.

However in fairness to the Dubliner he then headed to the first tee or the 10th hole of his round and managed a birdie.
