Thongchai Jaidee – A Day In The Golfing Life Of The Triple Winning Asian Tour No. 1.

I was extremely fortunate with thanks to tournament organisers in participating in yesterday’s (WED) Volvo World Match-Play Championship Pro-Am here at Thracian Cliffs in Bulgaria.

It was my Pro-Am debut on the European Tour and I thoroughly enjoyed the day, the opportunity also to play one of the most spectacular and dramatic golf courses in the world and the pleasure of partnering  Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee – winner in 2002, 2004 and 2009 of the Asian Tour No. 1 title, and also the reigning Wales Open champion.

Thongchai and his England-born caddy, Cliff were superb and made for a wonderful day.

Of course, it was a big surprise to hear my name called out as winner of the ‘Ladies Longest Drive’ and to receive a wonderful crystal bowl (see seperate story) so a big thank you also to Volvo.

However hereunder is a selection of photographs taken of Thongchai throughout the 18 holes and showing just how much the most affable Callaway golfer and everyone here present in Bulgaria has been thrilled by the sights on offer at Thracian Cliffs.
