They call Joey Lagano ‘sliced bread’ (as in the greatest thing since) as he’s the youngest NASCAR driver to win a Nationwide Series race at age 18 years and 21 days old.

Lagano then became winning in Sprint Cup Series history when he was first past the chequered flag in the 2009 Lenox Industrial Tools 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Logano is now the youngest winner in two of NASCAR’S three top divisions. Logano is also the first NASCAR driver born in the 1990s that has competed in NASCAR’s three major divisions.

This year Lagano was signed by Roger Penske to race for Penske Racing in the #22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford.

The #22 car that began the start of the 2013 season with Lagano on board is on display at this week’s Shell Houston Open and www.golfbytourmiss.com took a look at the race car.
