10th Tavistock Cup Reduced To 18-Hole Singles Shootout On Tuesday

The 10th anniversary of the Tavistock Cup has been effectively reducted to an 18-hole Singles shootout on Tuesday.

This is due to a tornado wreaking havoc to the final round of the Bay Hill Invitational at the nearby Bay Hill Club.

Tavistock Cup officials indicated that with so many of this year’s field still to complete their final rounds in the Arnold Palmer, including Tiger Woods who held a three stroke lead at 12-under par through two holes when play was abandoned just after 4pm local time.

So Monday at the Tavistock Cup will feature a medal better ball format-score relative to par and it will not count toward the Tavistock Cup results on Tuesday

Monday’s better ball competition will be as follows:

Group 1 – 12:20 p.m. Paul McGinley and Tom Lewis will play with Bob Tway and Scott Verplank.
