David Lynn Standing Tall After Suffering ‘Vertigo’.

England’s David Lynn was standing tall after fighting vertigo that nearly saw him withdraw from the start of the Andalucian Open in Spain.

Lynn was travelling to the course on Thursday but felt so unwell he immediately sought attention from ambulance staff who assessed his sugar levels were low.

“I woke up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night on Wednesday night, and when I got up and was driven to the course I shouted at him to stop the car as I was going to be sick,” he said.

“My head was just spinning all over the place and while I wasn’t sick I just felt so dizzy.

“The ambulance guys gave me an injection at 8am and I was teeing off at 9am.

“But I played the whole of my first round not feeling too clever.  I’ve had vertigo proper before and a lot of dizzy spells.

Lynn consumed an energy bar and drank a considerable amount of water and was able to complete the round.”

He later visited a doctor who prescribed tablets for the Englishman to take while he intends visiting own doctor when he returns to the U.K.

The 2004 KLM Open, who has taken to facebook by pasting pictures of himself onto the heads of some of the world’s most personalities, moved well into contention in position a third round 68 to be tied in fourth place at 10-under par.

And he also confessed there was a moment on the 16th during the third day where he felt the vertigo was returning.

“After what happened on Thursday morning, I am now paranoid that I thought it was coming on again today on the 16th hole,” he said.

However the Stoke born golfer could joke about it after his round despite needing a little prompting from the media to source the quote they were seeking.

“I’m not scared of heights.  I’m six foot three.”
