Top Ranked Golfers Flock To Wembley Champions League Showdown

 

Some of the world’s top golfers, headed by three current Major Champions, flocked to Wembley for the Champions League final between Manchester United and Barcelona.

U.S. Open champ, Graeme McDowell, Open Champion, Louis Oosthuizen and newly-crowned Masters winner, Charl Schwartzel were at the match.

However Schwartzel had to work for his two V VIP tickets with the South African hosting a 30-minute Q & A session in front of 1,500 fans at Wembley Arena ahead of the Manchester and Barcelona showdown.

Schwartzel’s reward was seats for himself and his wife in one of the posh parts of Wembley.

ISM Manager, ‘Chubby’ Chandler said:  “Charl loved the idea of the Q & A and besides it’s great for his profile.”

Also at Wembley was World No. 1 Lee Westwood, World No. 6 Rory McIlroy along with the England duo of Chris Wood and David Horsey

Manchester United fan McIlroy made the prediction after his BMW PGA Championship third round of a 2 – 1 victory to ‘Man U’.

Itlay’s Matteo Manassero, and tied for the third round at five under par with Luke Donald, had a ticket for the match but handed it to a friend in order to better prepare himself for the final round at Wentworth.
