Not content with joining the ’59 Club’ and Justin Thomas has set a new PGA Tour 36-hole low on day two with a second straight closing eagle of the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Thursday’s 59 saw Thomas become just the seventh player in PGA TOUR history break 60, before he holed an 8-foot eagle putt on the 18th hole at Waialae for a 6-under 64 to set the 36-hole scoring record on the PGA TOUR.
