Swede Alex Noren formally confirmed he will return to defend his Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open title in July as he looks to also gain a foothold on the PGA Tour.

Seamus Power, and despite dropping his only shot at the last, was very pleased in posting a four under par 68 on day one of the Wells Fargo Championship in Wilmington, North Carolina.

World No. 1 Dustin Johnson returned to competition for a first time since suffering a back injury on the eve of the Masters and declaring no physical issues in shooting a two-under par 7o.
