Jhonattan Vegas was very lucky to have teed-up in the 147th Open after stupidly letting his UK visa lapse.
The three-time PGA Tour winner Vegas had visa issues that started last week when he was supposed to leave for Scotland on July 12. A flurry of activity did not get the issue resolved until Wednesday, meaning he would fly overnight from his home in Houston and not arrive until the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Tiger Woods is all set to end an 11-year absence when he tees-up in this week’s 147th Open Championship.
The last time Woods has seen Carnoustie was in finishing T11th in the 2007 Open.
And the 14-time Major winner was keen to get a look at the Scotland course teeing-up around 3.40pm and hitting off the first.

Graeme McDowell delighted in sorting out a putting glitch and take ‘Route 66’ on the second day of the Aberdeen Standard Investment Scottish Open at Gullane.
McDowell recorded just 26 putts to move just inside the top-40 with a five-under par tally and be trailing eight shots behind England’s Robert Rock (63) who heads the field on 13-under par.

Five-time Major winning Phil Mickelson will head to Carnoustie Saturday morning after missing the cut in the Aberdeen Standard Investment Scottish Open at Gullane.
Mickelson, and a back-to-back Scottish and Open Champion in 2013, was never in the mix over the two rounds posting scores of 70 and 69 for a one-under par tally.
