McIlroy’s Forearm Generates More Talk Than His Clubs.

St. Louis, Missouri … For the bigger part of his life, Rory McIlroy’s let his clubs do the talking but not this week at Bellerive. It goes to show the impact of social media when it comes to the ancient club-and-ball game that for two rounds of McIlroy’s appearance in the 100th PGA Championship the talk has focussed on the adhesive patch on McIlroy’s right forearm. McIlroy reckoned he began feeling tightness in his forearm during last week’s last-ever WGC – Bridgestone Invitational. McIlroy ...

Rose Sympathises With Rahm Suggesting Bellerive Marshalls Could ‘Have Done More’ – Video.

St. Louis, Missouri … Justin Rose was full of praise for Jon Rahm in the manner he conducted himself but also critical of marshalles over a bizarre incident at the eighth hole on day two of the PGA Championship at Bellerive. Rahm had played a drive down the left side of the fairway and with the Spaniard’s ball coming to rest in rough just a yard or so off the fairway. “I definitely felt I touched it with the top of my foot. The lone Scot in the field turned around a first day 71 to post five birdies and two less bogeys for one-under par Bellerive tally. It left Knox trailing nine shots behind the clubhouse-leading Gary Woodland who added a 66 to his opening 64 to move to 10-under par. The effort is the first occasion Knox has been under-par ...

Spieth Angrily Hurls Ball Back Into Bellerive Hazard – Video

St. Louis, Missouri ….. Three-time Major winning Jordan Spieth was far from a happy chappy in playing the par-5 17th hole or the eighth of his round on day two of the 100th PGA Championship here at Bellerive. Spieth’s 285-yard tee shot caught the hazard running down the right-side of the fairway and while he was annoyed with the shot the Texan proceeded to make par so really it was a good result despite his clear disappointment.   Not sure if Spieth was actually happy to find that ...
