David Rudd admitted having played late last year in the company of legendary Tom Watson helped him smash the Balcomie Links course record with a nine-under par 60 on the opening day qualifier of the Scottish Men’s Amateur at Crail.

Nineteen-year old Liam Duncan smashed a 15-year Balcomie Links course record posting an eight-under par 61 on the opening day of the 2019 Scottish Men’s Amateur championship at Crail.
Duncan lowered the course by a shot some two hours after Eric McIntosh had become the second golfer in the morning’s play to equal the existing course record of 62.

Defending Scottish Men’s Amateur champion Euan McIntosh is no stranger to Crail Golfing Society having visited the club many times to contest the annual Battle Trophy.
