I vividly recall visiting Killarney Golf & Fishing Club in Ireland and was shown a note left in the visitor’s book by the legendary Bob Hope.
Hope wrote: “Loved the golf course, coming back to find the fairways.”
If there was a visitor’s book on hand at Isle of Barra Golf Club my message would be: “Loved the most-westerly golf course in the UKs location but coming back to find the tees.”

Struggling Scot Marc Warren put aside a wretched season to record a lowest round in some nine months on day one of the 100th anniversary KLM Open in Amsterdam.
Warren snatched seven birdies in a five-under 67 to be in a group of seven just a shot behind England’s Callum Shinkwin, who was runner-up in the 2017 Scottish Open at Dundonald Links.
