GB & I Hero Cup captain Tommy Fleetwood’s choice of team partners seems pretty obvious ahead of the inaugural hosting of the inaugural event next January in Abu Dhabi.

This week will be the 23rd staging of the Tiger Woods Hero World Challenge and the eighth hosting under the Hero sponsorship banner.
The event was first staged in January 2000 at the Grayhawk Club in Phoenix, Arizona while this week will be the seventh hosting of the event on the Ernie Els designed Albany course in the Bahamas.

A decision by World No. 1 Rory McIlroy and fellow Open champ Shane Lowry along with possibly two to three other GB & I stars ruling themselves out of GB & I team selection could see Ewen Ferguson join fellow Scot Bob MacIntyre in January’s inaugural Hero Cup in Abu Dhabi.
