Padraig Harrington superbly handled the dull and overcast conditions in lighting-up the host course on the opening day of the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio. Dubliner David Carey has brilliantly booked himself a tee-time in this week’s Valero Texas Open starting out in the last group and finishing first in a Monday qualifier for the $US 8.9m event in San Antonio.
