Additional Notes
Course

• Designed by Kyle Phillips and who also designed Kingsbarns Golf Links in Scotland.

• Opened in March 2010, it was designed using two million cubic yards of sand dredged from an adjacent marina.

Course Record presented by Nexo

• Nexo, the premier digital assets wealth platform, and the DP World Tour have expanded their partnership with the introduction of the Course Record Presented by Nexo – launched in 2025.

• The base prize starts at US$10,000 and will be awarded to the player who sets a course record that continues to stand at the close of the competition. If the course record is tied, the prize is awarded to the first player to set the record.

• If no course record is shot that week, the money will roll over to the next tournament with a further $10,000 added to the pot. After a successful course record, the prize pot will then reset.

• No new course record was set at the Genesis Championship, therefore the money rolls over to the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship, where the prize pot now stands at $60,000.

• The current course record at Yas Links is 61 (-11) set by Paul Waring in 2024.
