Adam Scott … “Don’t Mention The Ashes, I’m Moving Very Quitely Around Town.”
It didn’t take long for leading Australian golfer and the reigning Masters champion, Adam Scott to be caught up in last Sunday’s concluding thriller to the England -v- Australia First Ashes cricket Test Match.
Australia lost the opening match of five by the smallest of margins, and also in somewhat controversial circumstances, but for England to go one nil up in the five Test Match series.
Apart from Scott’s stunning Augusta National success the outcome continued a disappointing ...
Rory McIlroy … “I’ve Had A Poor Six Months, I’m Fine, I Have A Good Life”.
On the eve of the 142nd Open Championship and world No. 2 Rory McIlroy played down his indifferent six months this season declaring: “I’ve had a poor six months, I’m fine, I have good life and it doesn’t bother me.”
McIlroy was speaking ahead of his sixth straight Open appearance since winning the Low Amateur award on his debut in 2007 at Carnoustie.
But while McIlroy has since won two Majors and captured 11 other events around the globe, the current World No. 2 ...
Phil Mickelson – Two Drivers For The Masters, No Driver For 2013 Open.
This week Phil Mickelson will tee it up at The Open Championship without a driver in his bag.
For the second Major in succession, the 43 year-old American has elected to swap his driver for a fifth wedge and he has little doubt it will prove to be a sound tactic on a course where accuracy is much more important than distance from the tee.
“I feel like the 64 degree wedge can save me a lot of shots on this firm ground,” he said. “I just don’t see how a driver is going to help me in many areas. ...

Alistair Tait Window Challenge.
Alistair Tait is one of the most respected golf journalists covering The Open here at Muirfield.
He’s also a very good friend but little did he know what he was letting himself in for when he attended the now annual – Callaway Meet The Player function at the nearby Renaissance Club.
Twelve months ago Alistair was the ‘smash’ hit of the function when he thinned a shot from a greenside bunker clearing an adjoining tee, the practice putting green, tables and chairs in front of ...
Brandt Snedeker Hoping 32 Is His Lucky Number At Muirfield.
Two players this year have won Majors at age 32 and American Brandt Snedeker is hoping to be the third in capturing the 142nd Open Championship at Muirfield.
Australia’s Adam Scott turned 33 today but he was aged 32 when he captured this year’s Masters at Augusta National.
England’s Justin Rose was also 32 years of age when he claimed his first Major at last month’s US Open at Merion and it just so happens the curly haired American is the same age as he arrives to play in his fifth ...
