Padraig Harrington is warming at the thought of Shane Lowry next year joining the PGA Tour full-time only if for an added traveling and dinner companion. Lowry indicated he will adopt the ‘Harrington model’ in tackling the PGA Tour and that will be not to base himself in the States but rather play a few events at a time and fly back-and-forward from Dublin. “I’m not going to base myself over here as I like being at home in Ireland too much, so I will be staying local to Europe in that sense,” ...

Four-time former PGA Championship winner Tiger Woods is not only fighting gremlins in his game but biting mosquitos all about this week’s Whistling Straits host venue. Woods was sporting a few ‘mossie’ bites on his arms following an early Tuesday morning practice and showing he’d lost none of his human appeal with a ‘plague’ of few hundred of fans up early to walk the Lake Michigan shoreline with the former long-time World No. 1. “I’ve never seen mosquitos like these up ...

Shane Lowry admitted before teeing-up on the final day it would be a ‘career defining’ round for the Irishman. Little did he expect to become the tournament’s new champion in coming from two shots behind to post a flawless final round of 66 and claim his third European Tour title. The Irishman fired four birdies on Sunday to finish the tournament on 11 under par, two shots ahead of two time Masters winner Bubba Watson.
