Belguim’s Nicolas Colsaerts was in tears after been forced out with injury of the eve of this year’s 140th Open Championship at Royal St. George’s in Kent. The second official practice day dawned bright but a lot windier. However before showing you a selection of pics, we were hosted on Monday night in the now traditional Callaway ‘Meet the Players’, and this year at the Prince’s course, and venue for Gene Sarazen’s 1932 Open triumph. A big thank you to Sue Page and everyone at Callaway for a wonderful evening.

Open Championship favourite Rory McIlroy will play the opening two rounds of the 140th Open in the company of Ernie Els and Rickie Fowler. Officials released the draw just after noon here at Royal St. George’s with McIlroy, Els and Fowler teeing-up at 9.09am local time Thursday.
