Dual Sweden and US citizen Carl Pettersson has taken out European Tour membership with the goal of trying to qualify for the 2014 Ryder Cup. Tumbling off the spectacular Thracian Cliffs golf course and into the Black Sea is not the only concern for competitors, caddies, officials and spectators involved with the Volvo World Match-Play Championship. Defending champion, Nicolas Colsaerts has had to arrange for his mother to make a mercy dash to Bulgaria with a spare set of golf clubs for his defendce of this week’s Volvo World Match-Play Champion. The World Cup of Golf returns to the schedule later this year with the event to be stage at the famed Royal Melbourne Club from the 21st to 24th November, 2013.
