Visiting American Jordan Spieth stormed to the top of the leader board posting a four under par 67 to lead on day one of the Australian Open at the Australian Club in Sydney.
But while Spieth, competing in Australia for a first time in his career, was out front hometown favourite Adam Scott struggled to shoot a three over par 74.
Scott started horribly with a first hole double bogey at the first and one of his worst front nines (40) in years.
