Justin Rose has touched down in Turkey for this week’s Turkish Airlines Open enjoying his highest World Ranking in almost two years.
The Englishman climbed seven places to the new World No. 6 on the back on his remarkable two-shot success in Sunday’s concluding WGC – HSBC Champions event in Shanghai.
Rose was among just seven players in the remaining 77-player Chinese field who managed to break 70 on the final day.
Rose’s new ranking is his highest since he was ranked 5th in the world in finishing among the leading 25 at the 2015 European Tour season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

Fellow American Brooks Koepka moved to a career high of 7th after sharing second with Johnson and Sweden’s Henrik Stenson.
Koepka had been previously ranked a high of 10th in the capturing June’s U.S. Open.
Four-time Major winning Rory McIlroy has been bumped back to ninth and his poorest ranking since being ranked 10th in May 2014.
