Naples, Florida ….
The duo of Matt Kuchar and Harris English are now seeking a second Franklin Templeton (Shark) Shootout title in four years.
The American pair picked-up six shots in the day two modified alternate shot format to move to 21-under par in the cold and windy conditions on day two of the event at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
However the Wisconsin-born pair of Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly, who led the first round and who posted a day two 68 to be at 20-under par, have vowed not to let Kuchar and English have it all their own way in the $US 3.1m Greg Norman hosted event.

“It was a good day’s golf and I don’t remember a hole out there where I was nervous we might walk off with a bogey,” said Kuchar.
“We had a chance to make birdie at every hole so that made for a good, fun round of golf.”
Kuchar and English got off to a superb start with birdies at the first two holes and then birdied both the 10th and 11th holes to go 21-under par before ending with eight straight pars.
“Warming up on the range this morning the wind was pumping into you and in this format today, it made it all that much tougher,” said English.
“That’s why you have to have a partner who can free-wheel it a little bit and while it was tough to play bogey-free golf and shoot a combined six under par was awesome.
“That’s what we kind of set out to do and now looking forward to tomorrow.”
And according to the PGA Tour since Kuchar and English first teamed-up they are 114-under par.
