Despite the inclement the opening day of the BMW PGA Championship was marked as a day of tribute to the late Zimbabwean-born caddy, Iain McGregor.

‘Mac’ passed away last fortnight while caddying for Scotland’s Alastair Forsyth on the final hole of the Maderia Islands Open.

And congratulations to the European Tour Caddies Association in arranging a ‘Black for Mac’ theme first day with the great majority of players wearing all-black in memory of Mac.
