Golfing Trio Get White House Invite

It seemed only appropriate that on the week the U.S. Open is being played at Congressional and dubbed the ‘Playground of the Presidents’ that the US President should invite some players to the White House.

US President Barak Obama invites Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and Davis Love 111 to visit the White House.

That’s what US President, Barak Obama is doing and inviting Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and American Ryder Cup captain Davis Love 111 to go to the White House.

U.S. Presidents who have been members of Congressional include William Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Gerald

Other prominent members included Harvey S. Firestone, and founder of Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, along with William C. Carnegie, William Randolph Hearst and Walter P. Chyrsler.

Then sitting U.S. President Bill Clinton was present in the gallery at the 1997 U.S. Open when Congressional last contested the event.

President Obama is known to be a keen golfer and plays the game left-handed and it’s probably the reason he invited Mickelson and Watson, as they’re also ‘southpaws’.

And you can be assured both Mickelson and Watson will be arriving at the White House with some golfing goodies for Obama.

It’s already rumoured Obama will be in attendance at this year’s U.S.Open.
