Woods Scores One Point Win Over McIlroy On First Day Of Barclays.

Tiger Woods scored a narrow one stroke victory over new rival Rory McIlroy after the opening round of the Barclays Championship in New York.

In one of the most highly anticipated rounds of golf this season Woods posted a three under par 68 compared to McIlroy’s 69 on the Bethpage Park Black course where Woods captured the 2002 U.S. Open.

Ireland’s Padraig Harrington heads the field in the opening event of the FedEx Cup Playoff series following his sizzling seven under par 64 and his best opening round on the PGA Tour in two years.
