Si Woo Kim Determined To Deny His Home Town Good Freind … Along With Full Third Round Notes & Facts

Si Woo Kim will be very determined to deny home town hero Scottie Scheffler from successfully defending his CJ Cup Byron Nelson trophy heading into today’s final round on the TPC Craig Ranch course in Dallas, Texas.

Kim will take a two-shot lead at 21-under into the last “day and Scheffler and fellow American Wyndham Clark sharing second at 19-under-par.

Kim, 30, is chasing a sixth pro career title and his fifth on the PGA Tour, having last tasted success all of three years ago at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

And Kim was asked his thoughts ahead of playing the final round in the company of Scheffler.

“I think no matter what, it’s going to be fun, especially Dallas, kind of like my second hometown,“ said Kim.

“He grew up here. It’s going to be a lot of fans cheering for him. I know, of course, everyone’s cheering for him.

“Yeah, it’s going to be fun. I was hoping for a pairing with Scottie. Yeah, it’s going to be fun Sunday and fun to go with with Scottie“.

And bravo to Scheffler as he also spoke kindly of playing alongside Kim.

“Yeah, Si Woo, he’s a great guy. He’s a great competitor. I’m looking forward to the challenge of going to chase him down tomorrow.,“ said the World No. 1.

“He’s one of the most talented guys we have out here on TOUR.

“I think two shots back going into tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to the challenge. It’s always fun when I get to play with Si Woo.

“It’s good for the community to have two guys that are local up there on the leaderboard. Should be a fun day tomorrow“.
