World No. 1 Tiger Woods muscled his way to where he is comfortable and that was close to the driver’s seat heading into the final round of the WGC – Cadillac Championship at Trump Doral.
Woods snatched eight birdies in a blistering six under par 66 and in what was the lowest round of the day to move to one under par in superb scoring conditions in suburban Miami.

The defending champion’s only dropped shots was a three-putt bogey on four and a bogey on the par three 13th.
Woods had commenced his round in a share of 25th place and six shots from the lead.
“It was nice to get back into the tournament again,” he said.
“I held it together yesterday that was a long day, a long, tough day and that gave me a chance today. I figured, hey, I’m only six back, that’s definitely doable, especially with the conditions and how difficult this golf course is playing.
“I thought if I just get back to even par for the tournament, I’ll be right there and I did one better.
“So right now looking at the board I am only three back, so I’m right in there.”
Woods revealed he had undergone further treatment on his injured back post his second round of 73 and he came out on day three showing no signs of any concern and easily accounting for playing partner and current European No. 1 and FedEx Cup winner, Henrik Stenson who shot a disappointing 74 to slump to seven over par.
“I was pretty sore after yesterday’s round and that’s one of the reasons I ate quickly and got back on that range to keep warm,” he said.
“I just kept hitting balls, kept moving.
“But then again, at the golf course for nine hours, it was still a long day.”
