Dream Winged Foot Tee Times For Tartan Duo MacIntyre & Scott

The Scotland duo of Robert MacIntyre and amateur Sandy Scott have been handed a ‘dream’ opening two rounds in the U.S. Open on the Winged Foot course on New York’s Long Island.

The pair were team-mates, and both as amateurs, when the five-man Scotland side successfully defended the 2016 European Team Championship in France.

Now they’re partners in the opening two rounds of the U.S. Open teeing-up at 1.40pm (UK time) Thursday and 7pm (UK time) Friday and being joined by American Kurt Kitayama.

In contrast Connor Syme, and the third Scot in the field, will tee-up in the last group on day one at 7.12pm (UK) but then he will be out earlier at 1.51pm (UK time) on Friday.

Joining the Drumoig golfer will be Frenchman Paul Barjon and American Marty Jertson and with all three making their U.S. Open debut.

Barjon, who was born in New Caledonia, earned his place in capturing a Korn Ferry Tour qualifying event last month in Portland, Oregon while Jertson finshed among the top 3 points leaders in the 2019 PGA Professional Player of the Year standings.
