Knox Reveals Secret To Irish Open Victory Success – Guinness

New Dubai Duty Free Irish Open winner Russell Knox has worked out why he’s played so well in Ireland.

Knox was runner-up to Rory McIlroy in the 2016 Irish Open at the K. Club and today holed two stunning birdie putts, the first on the 72nd hole and the second from nearly the same spot as the one to end regulation play, to win the premier Irish event.

And the key to Knox’s victory – Guinness

“Must be the Guinness I guess,” he joked, when asked why he has done so well at theĀ tournament.

“Obviously this is a massive tournament. I mean, The K Club and Ballyliffin, polar opposites, obviously. Both terrific venues. I don’t know, I just get lucky. This is my week, this time of year, to play good golf, I guess.”
