Four-Time Augusta Winner Woods Reaches Out To The New Masters Champion.

New Masters champion, Patrick Reed has revealed that among the hundreds of congratulatory phone calls and text messages he received was one from now fellow Augusta National winning hero, Tiger Woods.Reed became the fourth straight American to win a Major Championship in holding off all rivals to capture a maiden major championship with last Sunday’s one-stroke success.

And while there has been much digging-up of past events in Reed’s life, the 27-year old father-of-two revealed in an interview with CNN his delight in received a call from Woods, a winner of four Masters.

“A lot of the guys have been sending a lot of text messages, just lots of support and it just shows how close a group we are on the PGA Tour and we’re just one big family out there,” he said.”So, it was extra nice to get a call from Tiger congratulatng me.

”Of course, those who contacted me wanted to win, but if someone else does we’re there to support him and cheer him along”.

And now that Reed has won a first Major he’s naturally looking to become a multiple Major winner.

“I’ve won the first one, so I know it can be done,” added Reed.

“It’s one thing to believe, it’s (another) to go ahead and do it.“Once you get in that winning circle, now it’s become a reality. You know it can be done.

“I’d be disappointed if this was the only (major).

“Time will only tell.

“I feel like the sky is the limit, you just go out there and continue to build it, you know just golf, have a lot of fun and keep giving yourself opportunities on Sunday and if I’m in the mix, I feel like we can do a lot of damage.”
